Telephone scammers are using the name Pennington Law Firm to claim that people owe money or that legal papers are to be served. IT'S A SCAM. Hang up. This firm only handles cases in San Diego, California. This firm has no cases outside of California. This firm handles no legal cases to collect consumer debts. This firm NEVER calls to say that it is trying to serve papers. If you received a call and have a question, you now know the call is a scam.

PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:

    1. Contact your local police and file a report. The more information the police have, the more likely it is the that police can catch the scammers.​

 2. This is an interstate crime and the FBI needs to know. Report it to the FBI at https://www.ic3.gov/Home/FileComplaint 

      3. Freeze your credit report at Experian (https://www.experian.com/freeze/center.html); 

Transunion (https://www.transunion.com/credit-freeze); and

Equifax (https://www.equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services/credit-freeze/). The credit freeze will prevent anyone from obtaining loans or credit cards in your name. You can unfreeze at anytime.
